Please support Nami Kim against unfair and biased charges by the South Korean Police!
We respectfully request that you ask authorities at the Incheon Prosecutor’s Office, South Korea, to drop the charges against Nami Kim, who defended herself from the violent assault by the dog butcher’s brother at the Universe Dog Farm in Incheon, South Korea.
Universe Dog Farm is a massive operation which breeds 500 dogs for meat in horrific conditions and also the major supplier to the Moran Dog Meat Market in Seongnam,  the largest dog meat market in South Korea.
Nami Kim, a world-renowned activist fighting the dog meat trade, recently was violently assaulted by the brother of the dog farmer.  In an effort to defend herself from the man who is much taller and larger, she had bitten his hand.  But Nami was charged for injuring him, and for a violation of domicile by trespassing.
Despite the fact that the dog meat trade is illegal in South Korea, these dogs are being horribly abused and slaughtered in tortuous ways.  That's because law enforcement and the government have failed to enforce the law.  Why is nothing being done to prosecute these criminals in the dog meat industry?   Why isn’t the Universe Dog Farm being charged instead for its illegal activities?  Why isn’t the dog farmer’s brother being charged for beating a women who is there to protect the animals which the government had failed to protect?
Nami Kim had the courage to stop what is illegal and inhumane.
Therefore, we are asking the Incheon Prosecutor’s Office to drop all charges against Nami Kim.  It needs to show the world that South Korea really does enforce its laws and does not allow the cruelty and torture of animals,  nor does it allow violence against anyone,  especially towards women.
